Kojiro Henmi Omni-Channel Consultant Born: 1970 Birthplace: Tokyo Henmi graduated from Gakushuin University in 1994 with a degree in history. Henmi worked 5 years for Sanseido Bookstore and joined SoftBank Corp. to participate in the launch of Seven Net Shopping Co., Ltd. (formerly eShopping Books). After working briefly for Amazon, Henmi made another career move and joined Aeon Co., Ltd. to launch the online supermarket and help building internet marketing strategies for the whole Aeon Group, until he joined Kitamura Co., Ltd. in 2011. He then became an independent professional after working briefly at Lawson.When Henmi started participating in the launch of online bookstores and shops, he realized that in the Japanese retail industry effective online customer services can be provided by utilizing real shops, and thus joined Aeon to build an online supermarket which can be used by both real shoppers and online store members. While he pursued internet marketing strategies for the group, he also found out in order to use the internet even more effectively a highly professional staff and high degree of professionalism will be needed and this made him decide to join Kitamura. By utilizing 1300 stores nationwide, Henmi was able to increase e-commerce sales up to 43 billion yen (door-to-door: 11.7billion yen, store pickup: 30.2 billion yen). He promoted ‘Humankind Power eCommerce’ ; online and offline integration for even better customer service. Currently he is supporting the omni-channelization of the retail & distribution companies as a freelance consultant.
