After earning his Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University, Masaki joined Fuji Research Institute Corporation (now part of Mizuho Information & Research Institute, Inc.) in 1995. After subsequent stints at a leading ad agency and a branding agency, Masaki served as the Head of Strategy and Sales Operations for Google Japan, the General Manager of the iPhone Business Promotion Office at Softbank, and oversaw
advertising business as the Head of Brand Strategy in East Asia at Twitter's Japan office. Following his more recent posts as Managing Director at AKQA's Japan office and as Director and Experience Center Lead at PwC, Masaki was appointed to his current role as Executive Officer at LINE Corporation in 2017.
Masaki has also earned a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering.
